Sqwishland Toys For a Birthday Bucket List

What gift ideas would be great for young kids? SqwishLand toys, of course! Take it from Mom Blogger, Whitney from www.mommieswithstyle.com:

Sqwishland Sqwiknies (not to be confused with Squinkies. Oh, I know.) These are at least cheaper than their counterparts. These little rubber animals come in small balls. The Sqwinkie itself has a small hole on it’s stomach so you can decorate with the Sqwinkie – Cole added a “bracelet” to his bucket where you can change and swap out Sqwinkies and wear them. A tube of 6 Sqwishland animals is $4.99. (Great stocking stuffer!)

SqwishLand Bags 2 New Awards from The National Parenting Center

SqwishLand's 2 hottest toys, DIY SqwishLand and the Soft 'N Squishy SqwishLand Bracelet received another pair of awards to put up on the SqwishLand awards shelf. This time it's the Seal of Approval from The National Parenting Center (TNPC). Here's what TNPC had to say about the SqwishLand toys:

DIY SqwishLand

Chances are somewhere in your town there is a ceramics painting center where you can go and paint ceramic or clay pieces. They are popular for groups, families, parties and the like. The problem with these places, according to our testers, is that they are cost prohibitive. SqwishLand is bringing the party home and at a much more affordable price. Just take out the parrot and let your child have at it. Depending on the level of intricacy and detail, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours to complete but for just under $10, the price can't be beat. Finally, kids can take digital pictures of their painted masterpiece and upload it to the SqwishLand site, then other kids vote on it to determine each month’s design winner. Ultimately a grand prize winner will have their design made into an actual SqwishLand toy.

Soft 'N Squishy SqwishLand Bracelet

It’s official, bracelets are the new hot toy/accessory and SqwishLand is right on the leading edge of the craze. Start with a soft bracelet and attach your SqwishLand toys to it, then keep adding or trading or rearranging them so that it’s never the same bracelet twice. There is an additional component here which is the associated online world that each SqwishLander can be a part of. This extra level of fun and interactivity really had parents sold on the value. The social experience of kids sharing, trading and communicating about their creations was a marvel for http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifparents to witness.
Read more about TNPC's award for SqwishLand at http://worldbookandnews.com/banking-and-financial-services/finance/175756-SqwishLand-Adds-A-Pair-of-National-Parenting-Center-2011-Fall-Seals-of-Approval-To-Its-Award.html

Thank you TNPC for this recognition! Get your DIY SqwishLand art kit and Soft 'N Squishy SqwishLand Bracelet at the official SqwishLand online toy store http://shop.sqwishland.com/.

Families.com - Squishland: Fun Place to Play Online

"I am not sure what the appeal is to tiny toys but there is undoubtedly an appeal. Children seem to love tiny toys they can take with them in their pocket, collect, trade, and play pretend with. I remember being a child and loving my little Smurf and Strawberry Shortcake figures. Remember Clown Arounds in the 80s? I had a million of those little guys as well. Maybe the appeal is being able to take your little imaginative play land with you wherever you go. The same imaginative play and fun comes in a tiny package; Sqwishland."

SqwishLanders are the next ‘It’ Toys

PRESS RELEASE

In the toy industry, there will always be that toy that gets its well-deserved time in the spotlight. Last year, Silly Bandz was the ‘It’ toy for kids. This year, with kids going back to school, the very affordable colorful rubber pencil toppers known as SqwishLanders are predicted to become the next ‘It’ toys.

Very light on the pocket, SqwishLanders are toy collectibles that are popularly bought at vending machines. Developed by Scottsdale-based toymaker SqwishLand LLC, these small rubber critters are encapsulated with a code that kids can enter in the online game, SqwishLand.com where SqwishLanders come to life.

“The vending-machine industry is an antique business model—you put a quarter in a machine and crank something out. With our website, we’ve added 21st century technology,” SqwishLand co-founder, Graeme Warring said in an interview with The Arizona Republic.

Since their launch in 2006, SqwishLand LLC has sold about 100 million SqwishLanders. In the online game, kids can register for free to play minigames, join the community activities, earn SqwishLand XP points and level up with their SqwishLand pets. It currently has close to 700,000 active users since its launch a year ago.

SqwishLanders have become more than just vending toys. SqwishLand LLC also developed toys based on the popular collectible toy craze—from SqwishLand art kits, toy bracelets, to iPhone apps and the much-awaited Android app. The company is also holding a SqwishLand design contest, the DIY SqwishLand Talent Search, where they are on a hunt for the next SqwishLand toy collectible design made by SqwishLand fans.

It’s not only the SqwishLanders in capsules that are creating a buzz in the toy industry. Recently, Dr. Toy, the world’s first website that offers professional guidance on the best in toys and educational products, awarded two SqwishLand toys. The DIY SqwishLand art kit and Soft ‘n Squishy Bracelets were given the Dr. Toy’s Best Vacation Children’s Product for 2011 title.

The original SqwishLander toys in capsules have also received a couple of awards including the Top Fun Award by Tillywig Toy Awards Program, Media Of The Year Award by Creative Child Magazine’s 2011, and 2011’s Most Innovative Toy Award by the 10th Annual Philippine TOYCON 2011.

The craze that started in the United States has now made its way to toy markets in North America, and recently in Australia, Philippines, and China. A Europe SqwishLand invasion is also in the works.
“We see it as very expandable,” Lauri Logue of SqwishLand LLC, told The Arizona Republic.

What’s in store for SqwishLand? Warring added that they’re hoping to bring in an outside investor to help continue growing their brand within the next year. He also envisions SqwishLand play centers and even a television show in the near future.

100,000,000 REASONS WHY SQWISHLAND™ IS THE MOST EXCITING LICENSING OPPORTUNITY AT RETAIL, ON THE WEB AND ON MOBILE PLATFORMS

Scottsdale, AZ (May 3, 2011) – On June 24, 2011 yet another container containing 2.2 million soft ’n squishy™ collectibles will be loaded onto a ship bound for the United States, marking the 100,000,000 milestone for the product which sparked the collectible craze – SqwishLand. As the least expensive web- and mobile-enriched toy ever, these popular low-priced toys have led to the coining of the toy industry phrase “cent-sational toys,” offering a recession-proof alternative to higher-cost toys with a high-quality online MMOG and mobile interactive experiences to delight today’s tech savvy kids.

The huge sales of SqwishLand products have led to 600,000 monthly users on Sqwishland.com just since August 2010, making it one of the fastest-growing MMOGs ever. Now, Sqwishland is expanding its presence via licensing, making unique online codes available for licensed products to give licensees access to this popular and growing digital franchise. SqwishLand is making its debut to the licensing community next month at the International Licensing Expo in Las Vegas (Booth #1675).

The humble origins of SqwishLand’s small rubber “pencil topper” collectibles craze began with the ubiquitous red vending machines, expanding to over 600,000 machines across the country, and has since transitioned into retail across specialty stores, as well as drug and grocery accounts. With the inclusion of a unique online code for free game play on Sqwishland.com inside every toy capsule, SqwishLand quickly drew kids to the web and onto mobile devices. With such interconnectivity, word of mouth among kids, mommy bloggers, other social sites on the Internet have been powerful marketing media for the SqwishLand brand.

Sqwishies from Sqwishland
"Forget Pokemons and Bakugans, people...there's a new craze in town...!

Sqwishies are the latest craze in the States, and they're hitting our stores. My boys were sent some 'capsules' of Sqwishies - which are basically little, soft, squishy (get it?) figurines (pets, if you will) that fit on to the ends of pencils. You can collect different types: regular, rare, ultra rare, crazy rare and the most sought after - Sqwabble. (The 9yo keeps talking about the Sqwishies 'evolving from' - just like in Pokemon!) You can collect them and also play online with them in a virtual setting at www.sqwishland.com. Kids can take care of their pet, feed it, play against others in what the company is calling a 'safe' environment."

A Pinoy-made online game for kiddie skills

By

COMPUTER games have become the pastime of the new generation. And while parents do not want to begrudge their children some fun, they have had reason to worry over the safety of their kids online and the amount of time kids spend playing these games.

Much to the relief of parents, FunGuy Studio, a Filipino company that creates online and mobile applications, has bundled learning and fun together in a kid-friendly Internet game called Sqwishland.com.
The virtual program for kids, launched just last year, was triggered by the popularity of the vending-machine toys produced by Brand Vending LLC, the same American company that tapped FunGuy to design and create a free-to-play online game.

Sqwishland is a safe and easy virtual pets game that allows children to create an avatar, play mini educational games, explore the world, socialize with other kids across the world, go on countless quests, and own and take care of a pet Sqwishlander. But—and all games have “buts” because that’s where the challenge is—they must always be on the lookout for the evil Sqwabbles who keep giving the good Sqwishies a bad time.

SqwishLand Toys' Australian Invasion

A collectible craze with kids in the United States of America, SqwishLand Retail products are now available in Australian Geographic stores. From the popular kid-friendly virtual world, Sqwishland.com, Sqwishland Toys are cute and adorable animal like characters that fit in the palm of your hand.

Developed by Sqwishland LLC, a company based in Scottsdale, Arizona and offices in Melbourne, Australia. Australian kids can now get a taste of their own country's creativity and hard work with the launch of SqwishLand Retail in the land down under's Australian Geographic. Australia can now experience the joys of having a collection of Sqwishlanders and playing the online game.

What is it about Sqwishlanders that kids just can't get enough of? Ever since it's arrival in the toy world, school kids have been going crazy for these little rubber pencil toppers. Sqwishlanders, are commonly bought at vending machines in various stores in U.S.A. Each Sqwishland toy is contained in a capsule, which comes with a strip of paper. This strip of paper is key because it holds a SqwishCode, which ties the physical product to the online game. A SqwishCode can be used online at SqwishLand.com where it unlocks fun new bonuses inside of the game. Using the codes you can unlock outfits, homes, virtual Sqwishlanders, and so much more. Players can chat, play minigames, and participate in other activities with one another in this colorful virtual world. In SqwishLand, the kid’s toys come to life and they can play with them in a whole new way!

Starting April of this year, Australian kids can grab their own Sqwishland toys at Australian Geographic stores. The 6 pack Sqwishland Tube comes with 4 original, 1 RARE Squishy and 1 ULTRA-RARE Sqwishlanders. RARE and ULTRA-RARE Sqwishlanders have unique designs compared to the original Sqwishlanders. Some of which include glow-in-the-dark Sqwishlanders. With so many Sqwishlanders in just one pack, there will be tons of SqwishCodes that can be used to redeem more prizes.

Making it easier for kids to find a SqwishLand toy, Sqwishland has developed a free SqwishFinder app for iPhone or they can log on to Sqwishfinder.com. Just by typing in a zip code and area, the SqwishFinder will locate you to the nearest Australian Geographic store where you can grab tons of SqwishLand toys.

Sqwonderful, Sqwishtastic Sqwishland Delights Kids and Retailers

PRLog (Press Release)Feb 23, 2011 – Scottsdale, AZ (February 13, 2011) – Soft ‘n squishy™ are the new buzz words in toy world this month as SqwishLand -- pioneers of the hugely successful collectible craze -- celebrates its sixth year and over 60 million SqwishLanders in circulation!
Kids and retailers will delight in their 2011 expansion of fresh and affordable products, online games, ultra rare characters, wholesalers’ website and an iPhone/iPad app!

Not familiar with SqwishLand? The silly-sounding rubbery characters originally made great pencil toppers when they were first introduced in vending machines several years ago. The characters were rebranded in 2010 as SqwishLand, after kids in focus groups told the company they call them squishies. Today (and 60 million kooky collectibles later) SqwishLanders are the original ¾” rubbery collectible characters sold in stores and vending machines and only the original carries a unique code for playing online at the popular www.SqwishLand.com. With over 750,000 online registered members since August 2010, this fun website is the place to be after school, sports and dinner.

Specialty, drug, craft and toy retailers love SqwishLanders because they practically sell themselves. The collectible craze is irresistible when investing a quarter or two in a vending machine. In late 2010 several store-shelf items were launched, from an affordable $3 Mystery Capsule to a $19.99 Party Pack. Each new SqwishLand product enhances the online SqwishLand virtual experience.

With the success and demand for SqwishLand, the company has launched several innovative concepts in 2011, making their debut at the American International Toy Fair. Visitors to SqwishLand Booth 3343 will marvel at new DIY SqwishLand kits, playsets with Webisode video edit tools and a “Sqwabitat tote” to house up to 100 characters! Plus there’s a mobile app, new encapsulated toys and membership cards. Most amazing may be the free iPhone app called SqwishFinder that guarantees kids will find the nearest SqwishLand retailer by entering a zip code nearest to them.

Mommy Bloggers have been buzzing about SqwishLand for months. “SqwishLand animals are taking So. Cal by storm and edging out the Silly Bandz for the new ‘Mommy can I...’ must have item. It’s like a perfect storm of cute, collectible, and well... squishy. I would like to add... so reasonably priced.” -- Momfluential Media
